SUMMARY:Save the Seals River Cruise
DESCRIPTION:Join the Seacoast Science Center and Newburyport Whale Watch for a special river cruise to benefit the Center's Marine Mammal Rescue program. While cruising the Merrimack River aboard the Captain's Lady II\, guests are invited to enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar while searching for seals\, watching the sunset\, and having a blast. Marine Mammal Rescue team members will explain how their work on the New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts (from Essex\, MA to the Maine border) coast plays an important role in monitoring ocean health. \n\nAll proceeds from the Save the Seals River Cruise benefit the Seacoast Science Center Marine Mammal Rescue Program. The seals can't pay to be rescued\, so support from the community is needed to help keep our the SSC Marine Mammal Rescue team ready to respond to every marine mammal that hauls out or strands on the New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts coast.\n\nPlease note that actual tickets will not be mailed\; guest names will be included on a registration list for easy check-in. The boat will leave from 54 Merrimac Street\, Newburyport\, MA. Parking is available for a small fee. \n\nTickets are $50 per person. You must be 21 or over to attend. \n\nFor more information please contact Ashley Stokes at a.stokes@sscnh.org or 603-436-8043\, ext. 29.
