    Our Wheelabrator corporate office in Portsmouth, NH is currently looking for an Occupational Health Nurse. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining and evaluating occupational and environmental health programs including medical surveillance and biological monitoring and hearing conservation. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, other minor duties may be assigned.
    • Advises corporate management on health and safety issues;
    • Collaborates with professionals in occupational and environmental health and safety and human resources to develop and administer an integrated and cost effective medical surveillance and disability management program;
    • Coordinates appropriate care, treatment and follow up of employee health events based on knowledge of the specific work environment;
    • Reviews medical surveillance examinations and coordinates any necessary medical follow up
    • Collects and analyzes data to establish health priorities and interventions;
    • Initiates or participates in investigative interventions such as walkthroughs or job hazard analysis as needed;
    • Maintains awareness of technological and professional changes associated with occupational and environmental health;
    • Assumes responsibility for professional development and continuing education  

    Education and Experience
    Required: Licensed registered nurse, BSN or equivalent, with five years' experience in corporate or manufacturing based occupational health environment 

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements 
    Required: Registered Nurse License to practice in the state of employment 
    Preferred: Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN-S)
