  • Group Sales Representative - Full-time position

    Responsible for generating and maximizing group sales revenue by actively and aggressively prospecting, soliciting, and delivering group visits to Water Country. Performing a range of duties including generating and nurturing leads, selling group visits, processing and servicing all group requests, handling all group customer inquiries, client management and reporting. The core focus of this position is the development of annual contracts and agreements that generate annual revenue and attendance growth.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Design and implementation of a strategic sales plan that exceeds revenue and attendance targets across various group types, including youth, school and faith-based organizations, family outings, corporate events, ticket consignees, and 3rd party resellers
    • Responsible for the strategic planning, execution, management, operations, program development, analysis and reporting within all aspects of the group sales program; including periodic forecasts and PTD/YTD analysis
    • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
    • Engage in superior customer service by making information and product knowledge readily available through various resources; develop sales collateral and presentations; make product appeal to the target market; develop sales videos, flyers, testimonials, etc.
    • Establish calendar of direct-sales efforts that include weekly emails, telephone calls and in-person appointments and meetings when appropriate
    • Find innovative and creative ways to sell products to mitigate market or timing conditions
    • Research client base to find new types of customers and sell to them accordingly
    • Employ negotiating skills and creative selling strategies to close sales
    • Collaborate across business units, including marketing, food & beverage, finance and operations to ensure that the delivery of services meets client demands and expectations
    • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships and mutually beneficial agreements including post-sale follow up to ensure a satisfactory experience
    • Attend designated tradeshows and community events to promote Water Country and develop strong positioning of the park in sales channels
    • Manage revenue and expense budgets within assigned department
    • Assist in generating in-park sponsorship and advertising sales

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales with proven record of growth; preferably in the tourism, destination, hospitality or related field
    • Ability to work some weekends and holidays
    • Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce and Galaxy ticketing platforms is a plus
    • Ability to interface with wide range of constituent groups
    • Budgeting, forecasting management and analysis skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

    • Detail-oriented, organized and proven ability to follow through on all tasks
    • Aptitude to assess a situation and envision solutions which meet the client’s unique needs
