    April Vacation Week at the Children’s Museum of NH
    Dover, NH – (Monday, April 16, 2018) The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire in Dover kicks off April Vacation Week with a green, earth-friendly bang on Sunday, April 22 with an Earth Day celebration. Then throughout the week the museum has special guests and theme-days to keep kids and families entertained while school is closed. All activities are included with museum admission, and members always get into the museum for free.
    April Vacation Week Family Fun Schedule
    Earth Day
    Sunday, April 22, Noon-5pm
    Join us for an Earth Day celebration! We will have lots of crafts and activities all about keeping the earth healthy and celebrating its beauty. Special guests from the community will join us and will be offering mini workshops and presentations – including Bartlett Tree Experts, event sponsor D.F. Richard, and more!
    Maker Monday
    Monday, Aril 23, 10am-5pm
    Try out a Play-Doh piano using Makey-Makey, or experiment with Snap Circuits. You can also see our 3D printer in action in the STEAM Innovation Lab.
    Cocheco Valley Humane Society
    Tuesday, April 24, 10am-12:30pm
    Join our special guests from the Cocheco Valley Humane Society and one of their furry friends to learn about how to care for animals and pets. Pet an animal and do some activities.
    FoodWorks with Hannaford: Healthy No-Bake Treats
    Tuesday, April 24, 10:30am-12:30pm
    It’s no secret that sometimes there just isn’t enough time in the day to bake nutritious snacks and treats! Come learn about and sample some easy no bake treats – not only will they save you time, but it’s a kind of food prep that you can do together with your little ones!     Flight Day
    Wednesday, April 25, 10am-5pm
    Make a flying creation and try to launch it from our Build It, Fly It exhibit, play with the Bernoulli Blower, or make a rotocopter and send it spinning! Build a stomp rocket in the STEAM Innovation Lab from 2-4pm, and check out flight-themed storytime.
    Engineering Day
    Thursday, Engineering Day, 10am-5pm
    Can you build a structure that can withstand the power of an earthquake? Today from 2-4pm in the STEAM Innovation Lab you can practice your engineering skills and build a structure, then we will test it on a shakey surface. Make changes, and try it again, just like an engineer. Also happening today, make your own paper bag house in the Muse Studio and drop into an engineering-themed storytime.
    Atlantic Gymnastics
    Friday, April 27, 10am-noon
    Join our friends from Atlantic Gymnastics for some movement and balance challenges inside the museum. We’ll shake, wiggle, crawl and bounce our sillies out with these gymnastic experts.
    The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire in Dover, not normally open on Mondays during the school year, stays open for 2 straight weeks to celebrate Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire April Vacation Weeks from Monday, April 16 to Sunday, April 29th. Museum admission is $10 for adults and children over 1 year of age and $9 for seniors age 65+.
    Admission discounts include:
    School Year Military Discounts: Military personnel, including veterans and their families receive half off admission.
    EBT Card Discount: The museum offers $1 admission for up to two adults and their dependent children when you show an EBT card from any state and a valid ID.
    Library Passes: Local libraries might have passes that offer half off admission to the museum for up to four people. Please check with your local library, as most require you reserve them in advance.
    Teacher Discounts: The museum offers free admission for teachers with a valid ID. This discount extends only to the teacher.
