    Band of Horses comes to River House Concert Series on Saturday, August 11th

    Portsmouth, NH- On Saturday, August 11th, Prescott Park Arts Festival will welcome Band of Horses to the Wilcox Main Stage as a part of the River House Restaurant Concert Series. Starting at 7pm, Band of Horses’ indie-rock passion will light up the stage making for an unforgettable evening of music.

    “It’s been a long,cold winter, and we couldn’t be more excited to be starting announcements for the warm summer nights ahead,” said festival president, Ben Anderson. “We’ve been working hard to put together another fun-filled season and a stellar act like Band of Horses is just the start of what we’ll offer the community this summer.”

    Beginning with their first LP ‘Everything All The Time,’ Band of Horses have been a mainstay of indie rock for a decade with five studio albums in total, including 2010’s Grammy-nominated ‘Infinite Arms’ and ‘Mirage Rock,’ produced by legendary Glyn Johns.
    Formed and led by singer and songwriter Ben Bridwell, this South Carolina-based band have given us many much-loved singles, including “No One’s Gonna Love You” and “The Funeral,” and have played globe-spanning headline tours as well as dates with greats like Pearl Jam and Neil Young.
    Most recently, Band of Horses released their highly-anticipated fifth studio album, ‘Why Are You OK,” co-produced by the band and Jason Lytle and executive produced by Rick Rubin.
    As with all Festival events, concerts are free and open to the public with a suggested $8-$10 donation.
    Prescott Park Arts Festival is not limited to concert experiences, but also offers a musical theatre production of Seussical beginning on Friday June 22nd through August 12th, and a soon-to-be-released Monday Night Movie Series presented by Wentworth-Douglass at Pease
    Reservation information for all events can be found on the Festival website, www.prescottpark.org. Tables on the VIP Seating Deck are available for reservations, in addition to the blanket reservations in front of the Wilcox Main Stage. Special discount pricing is available for Festival members. Space is limited.
