PORTSMOUTH - Northeast Credit Union (NECU) has promoted Regional Managers Christin Bernier, Kelly Sica, and Michael Rumo to Assistant Vice Presidents of Retail Management.
Their years of leadership experience combined with their motivation to provide members with exceptional service will continue to be a great resource to NECU.
“We are extremely fortunate to have leaders with the backgrounds that Mike, Christin, and Kelly possess,” said Andrea Pruna, senior vice president, chief marketing and retail officer. “Together they hold a significant level of knowledge of the financial industry and have already proven themselves to be invaluable assets to NECU. I look forward to seeing how their expertise benefits not only our members, but our staff as well.”
As assistant vice presidents (AVP), Bernier, Sica, and Rumo will be responsible for ensuring that branches in their regions continue to meet and exceed member service expectations. They will also be responsible for maintaining involvement within the communities they serve as well as motivating staff to reach specific goals and targets that align with those of the credit union.
Bernier has more than 20 years of experience in retail sales and banking. She has been with NECU for more than eight years holding positions as teller, member service representative, lead teller, branch manager, sales director, and most recently regional manager. As AVP, Bernier oversees the northern portion of NECU’s N.H. branches. In her free time, Bernier enjoys participating in community-sponsored Chamber and Main Street events. She is also a member of the Androscoggin Valley Food Cooperative Steering Committee and assists the local high school’s track and field team.

Kelly Sica has been with NECU for more than two years and has more than 17 years of experience in the financial industry, holding positions in business development, mortgage and retail lending, and branch operations. As AVP, Sica oversees the southern portion of NECU’s New Hampshire branches. Outside of the credit union, Sica has served for Pro-Portsmouth, a community event organization, as well as the Leadership Seacoast Project Committee, a community service and volunteering group.

Michael Rumo has been with NECU for more than eight years, beginning his career as branch manager at the Westbrook, Maine branch. As AVP, Rumo oversees all Maine branches of NECU as well as the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard branch. Outside of the office, Rumo enjoys spending time at local schools promoting financial education. He also donates regularly to local food pantries.
