This event will also serve as the kickoff of a educational series we will be hosting geared toward mentorship. Our panel of speakers will be themed in their expert fields: The Art of Mentorship, Navigating Mentorship & Embracing Your Power and Path. The educational series will provide women with the tools and resources they need to become a success in their chosen field and perhaps get a little inspiration from these women's stories along the way. Winners Selected for second annual CelebrateHER Awards in partnership with Women’s Business League  

PORTSMOUTH--After peer nominations and deliberation by the CelebrateHER Committee, and some very challenging selections, the winners have been chosen for the second annual CelebrateHER Awards Luncheon in partnership with the Women’s Business League. 

The lunch is being held Wednesday Feb 5, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Venue at Portwalk Place, Portsmouth. 

Nominations were heartfelt and headstrong--in a good way--ranging from large business/organization to small. 

If your nominee was not chosen, never fear, this event is growing and we’ll be back next year!

Winners of this year’s Awards are: 

1. Large Business/Organization. This award is awarded to a woman who owns or works for a company with more than 50 employees. She exhibits leadership, tenacity, and strength. Brinn Sullivan, Recreation Assistant Director and Parade Queen, City of Portsmouth 

2. Small Business. This award is awarded to a woman who owns or works for a company with less than 50 employees. She is innovative, courageous and has an entrepreneurial spirit. Bridget Shannon, Owner, Nowadays Flowers 

3. Outside the Box. This award is given to a woman with an unconventional career. She demonstrates resilience, creativity, and originality. Alex Bynum, Spiritual Healer & Guide, Empowering Path
