Initially formed as a marching band for the inaugural Portsmouth Halloween Parade in 1995, the Jumbo Circus Peanuts made their indoor debut with a full rhythm section on Mardi Gras 1996 and every day has been Fat Tuesday ever since. Over the years, the JCP have played on nearly every stage and at every music festival and concert series in the NH Seacoast area, turning every appearance into a dance party.
Currently an 11 piece band with 8 horns, the Peanuts songbook has evolved into a unique blend of funk, soul, and horn-driven rock and roll. They never fail to bring an audience to their feet. The Jumbo Circus Peanuts are: John Prendergast - alto sax, Greg Vail - tenor sax, Carol Woodman - clarinet, Todd King Todd Robertson - trumpet, Tim Griffin - trombone, Dan Curtis - trombone, Michael Wise - trombone, Edie Lafrance Brindamour - Trombone, Chip Brindamour - bass, Michael Spidy Blout - guitar and Paul Wolf - drums.
