    Description

A workshop on creating a Historical Impersonation with storyteller Megan Wells How do you make a hero or heroine human? Even when the facts are dynamic and the historical event memorable, portraying an iconic figure from the past can feel like detective work. Where is the mysterious missing element that reveals the humanity inside the hero? How do I shape the performance so the audience experiences a journey rather than a lecture? What time zone is my character in? Join Megan Wells, for an engaging workshop solving the mystery of dynamics, depth and delivery. Megan Wells is a Chicago-based storyteller known for her historical impersonations, including Florence Nightingale, Eleanor Roosevelt, Juliette Lowe, George Sand and Maria Anna Mozart. She will be performing at The Music Hall on April 8 as part of NHTP's 6th Annual Storytelling Festival.
