The phrase "chamber music" usually brings one of these two jewels to mind. The lush, turbulent work by Brahms, written first as a string quintet, transformed into a two-piano sonata, and culminating in its final version of one of the most beloved chamber works of all time is set off by the gentle Schubert quintet with the famous theme and variations that brings nature right into your living room.
