To protect the places we love, Seacoast Paddleboard Club (SPC) adopted Pirates Cove Beach in Rye, New Hampshire through Blue Ocean Society’s Adopt-a-beach program in the Spring of 2017. Through this partnership, SPC ambassadors host year-round community beach cleanups on the last Sunday of every month. These cleanups are open to the public, and students can earn volunteer credits for service hours. Our cleanup crews meet at the entrance to Pirates Cove Beach for a short introduction about marine debris and why it’s important that we gather this beach debris data. Our beach cleanups typically last between sixty to ninety minutes hours, and buckets and bags are provided. All supplies are provided other than gloves. Please bring reusable gloves. We aim to avoid using plastic gloves to limit our contributions to pollution from single-use plastic products. Free street parking on 1A. Meet at the entrance to Pirate’s Cove!
