    Description

Sunset Moonrise Yoga 5 Mondays September 23, September 30, October 7, October 21, October 28 7 – 8:30 PM All Bodies. All Ages. All Levels. The Sunset Moonrise workshop series is an immersive experience of yogic and therapeutic techniques to enhance your understanding of the mind-body connection; focusing on mindfulness, balance, breathing, and chakra energy to cultivate your journey toward understanding the meaning of yoga on a deeper level for oneself on the mat, and in support of the world at large off the mat! Using Somatic, Yin, & Ashtanga techniques, learn to support the connection of the mind-body in a society that benefits from our disconnection, to enhance a healthy lifestyle, and to intertwine yoga practice with your daily life. Self-love, self-care, compassion, exploration, and curiosity are key components. This is a safe space for ALL BODIES and ALL BODIES are encouraged to participate; especially those who have not felt comfortable attending a yoga class in the past. This workshop is free and open to all ages. Drop in to one or all five sessions. If possible, please bring your own yoga mat and any props necessary for your comfort level. We will have some to share. About the Instructors Rachel Otis graduated from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco with her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and a concentration in Somatic Psychotherapy. Since then she has started her own private practice that allows for tele-therapy to connect with clients worldwide, focusing on the mind-body connection in which she combines her passion for: body justice, human rights, & intersectional feminism with her love of somatic interventions, resources, & tools. Sada Reed is a Child Development Specialist dedicated to helping all children develop their full potential and cultivate their love for learning, creating, and exploring the world around them. With over 12 years of childcare coaching and experience in various educational settings along with governess work, Sada's clients get positive results. Sada holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Child Education and works in accordance with the nonprofit; Off the Mat, Into the World. It is Sada's determination and hands-on learning appraoch that have lead her clients to affectionately call her the "Child Whisperer." It is her commitment and belief that yoga, mindfulness, and hands-on project based enrichment is instrumental in helping families and organizations foster a love for self, nature, and others around them to reach phenomenal levels. Sada is working daily to create inclusive avenues in yoga, school systems, and public spaces to ensure everyone has the same opportunities to enjoy life.
