    Kays Cafe, located at the renowned Galley Hatch in Hampton, NH, is seeking a talented and dedicated Bakery Manager to lead our dynamic team. Our bakery is known for its exceptional quality, creative flair, and warm customer service. We take pride in serving high-quality baked goods and takeout items to our loyal customers, and we are looking for a Bakery Manager who shares our passion for excellence.
     
    Qualifications
    • Proven experience as a Bakery Manager or a similar role in a high-volume bakery or foodservice establishment
    • Strong leadership and team management skills
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
    • A passion for baking and a keen eye for quality
    • Knowledge of inventory management and cost control
    • Customer-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills
    • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
    • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed

    Responsibilities
    • As a Bakery Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery, retail, and takeout operations
    • Team Leadership
    • Supervise, train, and motivate bakery staff to maintain a high level of productivity and customer service
    • Foster a positive work environment and ensure that all team members are working together cohesively
    • Inventory Management: Oversee bakery inventory, including ingredient purchases and stock levels
    • Ensure products are well-stocked and that inventory is managed efficiently
    • Quality Control: Maintain high standards for product quality, consistency, and presentation
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all baked goods meet our quality standards
    • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to develop and update bakery menus, including seasonal and specialty items
    • Keep abreast of industry trends and customer preferences
    • Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by training staff in proper customer interaction and resolving customer concerns or complaints promptly
    • Operational Efficiency: Streamline bakery and takeout operations to handle high-volume business effectively
    • Implement processes and procedures to maximize efficiency
    • Financial Management: Monitor and manage bakery budgets, including cost control and pricing strategies
    • Work to achieve sales and profit targets
    • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and clean bakery environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
    • Ensure staff follows proper food handling and sanitation procedures
    • 8 hour shift
