    SEO Specialist (Hybrid)

    Richardson Media Group, a media planning & buying and SEO agency located in downtown Portsmouth, NH is looking for an SEO specialist (hybrid) to manage existing SEO accounts and work with leadership to bring in new SEO business. We are a unique type of agency for a variety of reasons: women owned and managed, mission-driven, solely focused on paid media and SEO and built upon a partnership model where we pair ourselves with like-minded & talented creative and web teams to fulfill the needs of our diverse client roster. The SEO campaigns we manage at present vary between local and national efforts. Some of the industry categories where we have performed SEO campaigns include higher education, nonprofits, technology and professional services. We also actively maintain our own website's SEO because we believe in the power of SEO and want to demonstrate our knowledge and experience to others in our industry.
     
    Core Responsibilities:
    • Perform keyword research and competitive analysis
    • Participate in SEO new business pitches
    • Understand and implement technical SEO audits and changes
    • Execute on-page optimizations
    • Implement changes in content management systems (CMS)
    • Manage content production by managing external writers (or collaborating with content writing teams), and supporting them on SEO
    • Develop and implement backlink strategies
    • Devise and execute methods to track, report, analyze and improve SEO performance
    • Collaborate with SEO managers and other in-house marketing teams
    • Work with with developers and product teams to implement necessary features and changes
    • Present and communicate SEO strategies and projects to clients and/or internal stakeholders
    • Serve as the key SEO expert/advocate at the agency
    • Keep up-to-date with latest SEO trends, strategies and algorithm changes
    Requirements:
    • 2+ years of experience working in SEO
    • Strong understanding of SEO best practices
    • Experience working with SEO tools including Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog 
    • Experience with technical SEO
    • Excellent writing skills 
    • Experience with and/or understanding of code (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
    • Passion for SEO and internet marketing
    • Ability to create, justify, communicate and implement SEO strategies across teams and external agencies
    • Data-driven and analytical 
    • Attention to detail
    • Self-motivated as well as team focused
    Desirables:
    • Experience with and/or understanding of other marketing channels (e.g. PPC)
    • Comfortable working with popular CMS’ (e.g., WordPress)
    • Strong writing skills
    • Curious; enjoys learning new things
