Continuum Arts Collective Rekindle Revel in the Meadow; Prepare to Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Watkins Glen Summer Jam

On Saturday, August 19, from noon – 10 p.m., Continuum Arts Collective (CAC) will reignite the organization’s famed Revel in the Meadow at the Dover Elks Event Grounds on Route 108 in Dover, NH. Last held in the summer of 2019, CAC is taking the day-long festival in a different direction by celebrating the 50th anniversary of Watkins Glen Summer Jam Revival—an event boasting one of the largest recorded concert gatherings ever with over 650,000 attendees.  You can purchase early-bird general admission and VIP tickets now at https://revelfest.net. Net proceeds benefit CAC’s mission to assist student artists and musicians in Maine and New Hampshire by providing students with free musical instruments, art supplies, creative instruction, and experiences to flourish as creators. Kids under 12 get in for free.

To celebrate the 1973 Watkins Glen event, this year’s Revel lineup will feature Stone Dead playing the part of the Grateful Dead, Idlewild performing the music of the Allman Brothers, the Seacoast Last Waltz Band celebrating the music of The Band, and local legends, Truffle kicking things off with a set of Little Feat tunes.

Revel 2023 will feature on-site RV and tent camping (limited availability), over 50 artisans, a second stage featuring CAC student spotlights and local acts, a community student art show, the first-ever Revel Adult Olympics, kids’ activities, adult beverages, and food vendors.

“We’re thrilled to bring back the Revel,” said CAC Executive Director Martin England. “This little festival-that-could was such a blast in 2018 and 2019 before the world experienced a pandemic. It will feel great dusting off the stage and bringing the community back together to celebrate arts, culture, positive vibes, and, of course, the students and sponsors that have made the Continuum Arts Collective an absolute success over the past seven years. This is impossible without the community's support, and we can’t wait to see everyone.”
