‘Beyond the Boundaries’ 35th annual Omer T. Lassonde Juried Exhibition on exhibit through May

PORTSMOUTH – The long winter and pandemic have required us all to stay within certain unaccustomed boundaries. As Spring arrives, we are beginning to emerge again, and local artists have interpreted the theme “Beyond the Boundaries,” for the 35th annual Omer T. Lassonde juried exhibition.
An overwhelming number of impressive submissions from members and non-members were received and of 302 individual entries, the juror, Andrew Spahr, head curator of art for the Currier Art Museum in Manchester, selected 92 works for the show.
The show opened March 31 and continues to be on exhibit and for sale in the gallery and online through May 30.
The winners of the 35th Annual Omer T. Lassonde Exhibit "Beyond the Boundaries" were announced on April 15, 2021 during a Zoom reception. They are:
- First Prize: Patricia Schappler, "The Guardian" (Pastel)
- Second Prize: Kathleen Robbins, "Forgotten Path" (Acrylic)
- Third Prize: Gail Allen, "The Journey" (Acrylic)
- BJ Eckardt, "Succulents" (Oil)
- Lee Gordon, "Winter Marshview (Blown Glass)
- Dustan Knight, "16 Winter Walks During Covid) (Acrylic and Mixed Media)
The exhibit is sponsored by The Market Square Group at Morgan Stanley and the Lassonde family through the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
