PORTSMOUTH– Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity (SENH Habitat) is delighted to announce that their organization has partnered with the Service Credit Union Impact Foundation (SCUIF) to build homes in the Granite state. SENH Habitat and SCUIF together provide safe affordable housing for families in need.
“This collaboration with SENH Habitat reflects the very heart of our mission at the SCUIF, said Sarah Kuhl, director of the SCUIF. “By donating all proceeds from our upcoming Spring Gala to support this multi-family home build, we’re helping create a strong foundation where families can thrive, grow, and build brighter futures. We’re proud to stand alongside an organization whose values so closely align with ours and look forward to building a home together that will truly change lives.”
Marcie Bergan, executive director of SENH Habitat, said that this all began with a conversation almost a year ago with Habitat International and the National Redi Mix Concrete Association – who vowed to build 50 ICF houses in 50 states in 5 years. “Collaboration is key! We are so grateful to have been chosen as the charity recipient for SCUIF’s Spring Gala April 10, 2026, and to have been selected for NH’s ICF build. Multiple other partners are bringing their expertise to the table to help in building SENH Habitat’s first (Insulated Concrete Form) ICF multi-family home in Rochester NH.
Sarah with SCUIF, board member Ben and his team from Market Square Architects, Joe and Matt from Atlantic Building Materials and Nudura, and Dominic with American Concrete Institute (ACI) New England were all on hand to join us for this exciting kick off to what promises to be our biggest collaboration ever. Our newest partner family and SENH Habitat’s very own construction manager Doug, volunteer coordinator June, ReStore manage Bill and other board members; Christine, Ken and Berry were all there to mark this wonderful occasion at 40 Front St. in Rochester. Shout out to Dave from Groen Construction and Coleman Concrete to help us through the process as well.
