  • Two Concerts Added! Prescott Park Arts Festival's River House Restaurant Concert Series

PORTSMOUTH–Prescott Park Arts Festival, an independent non-profit arts organization located along the banks of the picturesque Piscataqua River, announces two additional concerts in the River House Restaurant Concert Series. The popular series features nationally touring acts, as well as regional and local favorites, that will perform downtown on the Wilcox Main Stage in Prescott Park this summer. The Arts Festival is fully accessible, so all events are offered for an optional suggested donation.

The River House Restaurant Concert Series has been revealed in weekly waves this year with announcements culminating in mid-May. These two additional acts have been confirmed since then and will join the rest of this summer’s incredible line-up.

“It’s wonderful to be adding these two concerts before the season begins,” said Executive Director, Courtney Perkins. “We have been working to make these additional shows happen for the community and felt it important to infuse the lineup with modern country storytelling as a way to round out the season. Both of these acts are true rising stars in the country music scene and we are excited to bring them to the Seacoast.”

The first concert added is one of the brightest rising stars in Nashville and Academy of Country Music New Female Artist of the Year nominee, Caitlyn Smith. She’s written songs for the likes of Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton, Meghan Trainor and John Legend, and Garth Brooks, to name a few, and she has won a Critics Choice Award. Don’t miss this powerhouse performance on the Wilcox Main Stage, Wednesday, August 3rd. This concert is made possible by Evening Sponsor, 97.5 WOKQ, New Hampshire's No. 1 station for country music and home to Kira and Logan in the Morning.

The next concert revealed is another Nashville-based artist, Ruston Kelly. Known for his nuanced yet potent sound and raw vitality that Kelly continually brings to his live shows. His lyrics drift from forthright to poetic to sometimes even storybook-like, embracing a heart-on-sleeve sentimentalism. Come and experience his cathartic, acoustic, and bluesy performance on the Wilcox Main Stage Saturday, August 27th

The Arts Festival plans to announce supporting acts for some of the concerts in the River House Restaurant Concert Series for 2022 as we get closer to those dates. Those acts will include some great local talent as well as nationally touring artists.

The line-up for the River House Restaurant Concert Series consists of Josh Ritter (6/16), The Dip with Lady Wray (6/22), Katie Pruitt (6/29), The Brothers Comatose (7/6), Fruition (7/8), Watchhouse (7/13), Dustbowl Revival (7/17), John Moreland with The Dead Tongues (7/20), Deer Tick (7/21), Sierra Hull and Kitchen Dwellers (7/27), Spencer and the Walrus (7/31), Caitlyn Smith (8/3), Miko Marks with Dwayne Haggins (8/10), Shovels & Rope (8/15), Americana Fest with Alejandro Escovedo and Pokey LaFarge (8/21), The War & Treaty (8/24), Ruston Kelly (8/27), Indigo Girls (9/1), Wild Rivers (9/4), and Allen Stone (9/5).

Tables in the B2W Software VIP Seating Area can be reserved for all of the Festival’s series, in addition to limited blanket reservations, in front of the Wilcox Main Stage.
