Carrying Our Past, Beading Our Future

Saturday, November 1st, 11 am – 12 pm

Join Abenaki beading artist, Kimberly-Ann Lussier, as she talks about the history of her craft, and demonstrates beading techniques. See examples of her work, and learn more about the vital importance of carrying on traditional crafts.

This program is presented free to the public through the generous support of our Brewster Program Series.

Artist’s Statement:
Through each bead, I stitch resistance and remembrance. My work honors the ancestors who walked before me, carrying their strength into the present. Beading is my voice-unyielding, radiant, and alive-proclaiming that Indigenous presence will never be erased.
