The Chamber is also important to me as they have created a space that is welcoming and safe for anyone to be present in regardless of "who" you are and "what" your company offers. I believe that a diverse community is a strong community and I have seen first hand that the Chamber not only supports this, they also collaborate with other organizations to ensure that progress is actually being made.

Why did you decide to join the Chamber? 

I decided to join the Chamber as I have always seen the Chamber being present and deeply involved in the Portsmouth Community. Before joining, I believed that the Chamber operated as an important liaison between Businesses, The City, as well as Visitors to the area. Now that I am a member I can see it is that and much more.

What is a Chamber benefit that you feel is helpful to you and your industry, specifically? 

Being a Handyperson it was important for me to get connected with other people. We offer a very specific Service and referrals and networking is easy thanks to the Morning Mixers and Business Afterhours events. 

If someone told you they were planning to join the Chamber, what advice would you give them about making the most of their membership? 

My advice would be to get connected with a Chamber Ambassador. The Ambassadors are a great group of people who are more than willing to help explain the various Chamber offerings in such a way that it is easy to understand.

I have made new important connections with other Businesses, increased lead generation, and most importantly revenue.
