Description
Caity Gyorgy (pronounced George) is a two-time JUNO Award-winning Canadian jazz vocalist known for her bebop and swing style. She has performed internationally and worked with renowned musicians such as Christine Jensen, Pat LaBarbera, and Joe LaBarbera. A skilled composer, Caity writes in the style of the Great American Songbook, with her songs winning multiple awards, including the 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest Grand Prize in jazz. She is also a vocal jazz instructor at the Yukon Summer Music Camp and the Interprovincial Music Camp. Signed to La Reserve Records, Caity has released several albums, including Now Pronouncing and Featuring, both of which won JUNO Awards. Her upcoming album, Hello! How Are You?, was released on August 9, 2024.
