  • Celebrate Seacoast Science Center Marine Mammal Rescue at Seacoast Seltzer collaboration release party on Thursday, Dec. 5

RYE–Dec. 3 is Giving Tuesday! During this day-long celebration of generosity, we at Seacoast Science Center kindly ask you to support our Marine Mammal Rescue (MMR) program, and all the work that our amazing MMR team and volunteers do.

This Giving Tuesday, we are excited to announce that SSC Marine Mammal Rescue has teamed up with Seacoast Seltzer on a limited release hard seltzer! Black Cherry Lemon hard seltzer celebrates the marine conservation and educational efforts of the SSC Marine Mammal Rescue team by showcasing a harbor seal the team responded to on the can!

Join us to celebrate the season of giving and put your "seal of approval" on Seacoast Seltzer's newest hard seltzer flavor collaboration with SSC Marine Mammal Rescue during a Release Party, on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. at Stoneface Brewing Co. in Newington. A portion of Tasting Room sales of Black Cherry Lemon hard seltzer will be donated in support of the SSC Marine Mammal Rescue’s 2024 Giving Tuesday campaign.

"SSC's Marine Mammal Rescue operates entirely through donations, grants and educational programs we conduct, so we are extremely grateful to Seacoast Seltzer for working with us on this collaboration to drive awareness for our work and this year's Giving Tuesday campaign," adds Ashley Stokes, director of marine mammal conservation.

SSC's Marine Mammal Rescue team members will be at the event to chat with guests, share stories, answer questions about our marine conservation work, and to thank our supporters. We hope to see you there, and thank you for your support of our work on Giving Tuesday and beyond.

Giving Tuesday donations can be made online, here: https://seacoast.app.neoncrm.com/forms/giving-tuesday-2024. As a thank you for your support this year, any donation over $50 will receive our 2025 Marine Mammals of the Gulf of Maine calendar, showcasing many of our interesting cases from this year and setting the scene for the exciting programs and events coming in 2025! We will also be raffling off two tickets to one of the team's 2025 Seal Walks at Salisbury Beach State Reservation. By donating $100 or more you will automatically be entered into the raffle.

Seacoast Science Center’s Marine Mammal Rescue is the federally-designated response institution for seals, whales, dolphins, and porpoises in New Hampshire and Northeastern Massachusetts (from Essex, MA north). To report a sick, injured, or deceased marine mammal in this area, please call MMR’s 24-hour hotline at 603-997-9448.
