PORTSMOUTH—CSX Transportation will begin work on Tuesday, Dec. 17 to replace the tracks into the Port Authority. On Wednesday, Dec. 18 and Thursday, Dec. 19 that section of Market Street will be completely closed down.

The road will reopen as soon as the repaving is completed. Market Street extension inbound will not be able to get downtown Portsmouth. The inbound detour will route traffic to the Route 1 Bypass. Outbound traffic will not be able to get to I-95 or beyond.
